Factory Resetting the Yealink MP54

Important: Only perform a factory reset if you have been explicitly instructed to do so by Telecommunications or IT staff. A factory reset will restore the device to its default settings.

Before You Begin

Before attempting a factory reset, try a simple reboot, which often resolves common issues:

  • Power off the device
  • Wait 30 seconds
  • Power the device back on

If the issue persists and you have been instructed to proceed, follow the steps below.

Reset the Yealink MP54 Using the Dial Pad

  1. Ensure the device is in an idle state (login screen or main screen).
  2. Press and hold the * and # keys at the same time for approximately 6 seconds.
  3. When prompted with “Reset Device to Factory Settings?”, select OK.
  4. The device will begin restoring factory default settings.
    • This process may take 2–5 minutes to complete.

Do not unplug or power off the device while the reset is in progress.
