Rebooting The KIC Book Scanner

If the book scanner encounters an error or stops responding, rebooting it should always be the first step.

  1. Locate the wireless keyboard. It should be on the shelf under the work table; on the left side, behind the power cable.
  2. Turn the keyboard on. There is a power switch on top of the keyboard. Flip the switch to show the green side; this indicates it is on.
  3. Initiate a reboot. Using the keyboard, press the CRTL+ALT+DEL keys at the same time.
  4. Once the scanner has rebooted and is working again, please turn off the keyboard and store it in the same location you found it in. Note: you may need to reboot the scanner multiple times.
