Loading a Roll of Film

1. Raise the glass. Pull the carrier handle forward until the glass is fully raised.

2. Place the film roll. Put the film roll on the left supply reel, with the film coming off the top of the roll and feeding to the right (see diagram).

3. Thread the film. Guide the film:

  • Under the first white spindle
  • Under the raised glass
  • Under the second white spindle on the right
  • Into the slot on the right take‑up reel (see diagram)

Tip:

  • Make sure there is no slack in the film on the left supply reel before threading.
  • If the film leader slips off the take‑up reel, turn the take‑up reel clockwise 1–2 turns to wrap the film securely.

4. Lower the glass. Push the carrier handle back to lower the glass and move the film under the camera.

5. Position the image. Press the red right‑arrow button to advance the film until an image appears and is centered in the preview window.
