Usage Tips

Microsoft’s documentation will get you up and running. These are some extra tips that we’ve learned while working with the Bookings system.

Working with multiple bookings.
It is not uncommon to be part of several booking sites. Bookings will remember the last bookings page that you were connected to. To navigate to another page:

  • Click on the drop-down arrow and select Open.
  • You can then search for another Booking page to connect to.

Alternatively, you can bookmark each of your Booking Admin pages. You can access this link by opening your Bookings site and bookmarking the page, before browsing to another section of Bookings. The link that you are trying to find looks like this:

It will include the title of your Booking site in the URL.

Setup Tips

Give yourself a backup
We recommend adding a second “Bookings” administrator to your Bookings page if the page is for a Department, Unit, Organization, etc. This gives you a second way in should your account become compromised or if you transition to a new position within SIU. Availability hours for your backup can be left blank so as not to cause confusion with the actual appointment scheduling.

Branding and Customization

You can give your Bookings Page the SIU treatment with the following settings.

Additional logo guidelines are outlined by University Communications. They can be found at https://logo.siu.edu/

SIU’s vertical logo, in single-color, white, fits best in the Microsoft Bookings logo space.
