SIU Network ID – General Information

You are here:

Overview

Your Network ID is used to access various resources and websites at SI such as SalukiNet, D2L/MyCourses, campus Wi-Fi, VPN and more.

What is my Network ID?

When you are first enrolled or hired at Southern Illinois University, you will be issued a Dawg Tag Number, (Ex: 850XXXXXXX). Your Network ID is your Dawg Tag with the letters SIU in front of it. If you have a student or employee ID, the Dawg Tag will be on there, but you can also use our Dawg Tag lookup page to find yours.

Note: You will retain both your Dawg Tag number & Network ID permanently, using them to access your records (i.e. transcripts) through SalukiNet, even after you leave SIU.
