Troubleshooting Eduroam for IOS devices

Certificate Prompt

1. Go to Settings, choose Wi-Fi, and tap eduroam. 

2. When prompted, enter your siu networkid (85xxxxxxx) and password. Tap Join. 

3. When prompted to accept the certificate, tap Trust. 

4. You are now connected to eduroam. 

Note: If you have recently changed you Salukinet password, forget the eduroam network and connect again. 

Make sure your siu account is not locked, due to wifi reconnection attempts after you changed Salukinet password. If you believe your account is locked please contact SalukiTech. 

Forgetting the network

1. Open settings, choose Wi-Fi and tap on eduroam 

2. Tap on Forget This Network and Tap on Forget. Note: you may need to scroll up on the screen.

3. Attempt to connect again. 

Check VPN entries

Try these steps if you have forgotten the network but eduroam is still showing up as a managed network:

1. Open Settings > General > VPN
2. Look for your SIU account in the list
3. Tap the (i) button next to the account
4. Press ‘Delete VPN’ near the bottom of the settings
5. Navigate back to general Wi-Fi settings and attempt to connect again.

Reset Network Settings

This step should be used if all other options have been exhausted. This removes all known networks, cellular data settings, and VPN and APN settings.

For iOS and iPadOS 15 or later:

1. Open Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone
2. Select Reset
3. Enter your device password
4. Select Reset Network Settings
5. Device will restart; after it loads, attempt to sign in again

For iOS and iPadOS 14 or earlier:

1. Open Settings > General > Reset
2. Enter your device password if prompted
3. Select Reset Network Settings
4. Device will restart; after it loads, attempt to sign in again
