Housing Portal Access & Login Requirements
Information about SIU residence halls—including buildings, policies, dining, and housing timelines (typically for the year prior to attendance)—can be found on the Housing website.
Signing into the Housing Portal
You do not need an active SIU email inbox to sign in.
Use the following credentials:
- Username:
SIU85XXXXXXX@siu.edu
(Replace the Xs with your Dawg Tag number. If you aren’t sure what that is, you can lookup your Dawg Tag). - Password: The same password you use to sign in to SalukiNet.
Note: All current and incoming students must select: “SIUC – Student SSO Login”. This option redirects you to the standard SIU login page (the same one used for SalukiNet and other SIU systems).
Trouble Logging In? Check These Requirements
If you are having difficulty accessing the Housing Portal, confirm that all of the following criteria have been met:
1. You Are Fully Admitted to SIU
- Your acceptance email may arrive before your admission status appears in all systems.
- SalukiTech can verify whether you are listed as admitted, but cannot view admission details.
- If you are not listed as admitted, contact Admissions to confirm your status.
2. You Have Claimed Your Network ID
Claiming your Network ID includes setting your password and recovery information.
- Follow the instructions to claim your Network ID.
- You should be able to successfully sign in to SalukiNet and other SIU websites afterward.
3. You Appear in Housing Records
- Housing can verify whether you appear as admitted in their system.
- If Housing cannot locate your record, they may direct you back to Admissions.
- Let the Housing representative know if SalukiTech has already confirmed that your Network ID is claimed and working.
After Logging In
- If you can log in but experience issues with contracts, room selection, or housing-related tasks, contact Housing directly.
- If you experience account issues, login errors, or website outages, contact SalukiTech for assistance.
