Troubleshooting Eduroam for Mac devices
Toggle Wi-Fi On/Off
Sometimes toggling Wi-Fi off, and then back on, will help your device reconnect with the network. This is a good first troubleshooting step to take to see if this will resolve your connectivity issue.
1. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the upper right-hand corner of the menu bar, and select “Turn Wi-Fi Off”

2. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the upper right-hand corner of the menu bar, and select “Turn Wi-Fi On”

Remove SIU-Guest Wireless Network Profiles
1. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the upper right-hand corner of the menu bar, and select “Open Network Preferences…”

2. In the network preferences window, select the Wi-Fi service from the list of available network services.
3. Click the Advanced button in the lower right-hand corner of the network preferences window.

4. In the preferred networks pane, select SIU-Guest network that you no longer conenct to on your device.
5. Click the [ – ] button to remove the network profiles.
6. If you have other networks configured, make sure eduroam is at the top of the list by dragging it to the top.

- Select OK to save these settings.

Remove eduroam profile
1. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the upper right-hand corner of the menu bar, and select “Open Network Preferences…”

2. In the network preferences window, select the Wi-Fi service from the list of available network services.
3. Click the Advanced button in the lower right-hand corner of the network preferences window.

4. In the preferred networks pane, select eduroam.

5. Click the [ – ] button to remove the network profiles.
Check IP settings
1. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the upper right-hand corner of the menu bar, and select “Open Network Preferences…”

2. In the network preferences window, select the Wi-Fi service from the list of available network services.
3. Click the Advanced button in the lower right-hand corner of the network preferences window.

- Click the “TCP/IP” tab.
5. Make sure the following settings are set correctly:
- Configure IPv4: Using DHCP
- Configure IPv6: Automatically

- Select “OK” to save these settings.
If the above steps doesn’t work, try removing eduroam credentials form the Keychain Access
Remove eduroam credentials
1. Select Spotlight (Magnifying Glass in the top right corner of the screen), enter Keychain Access and press Return
2. On the left side of the window, select the login Keychain and the All items Category
3. Delete any listed items mentioning eduroam (e.g. eduroam.deakin.edu.au certificate and eduroam 802.1X Password)

4. Enter your Mac password if prompted
5. Remove eduroam profile as mentioned in above sections and try connecting to eduroam again
