Install Wolfram Mathematica for your University-owned and personal computers.

University Computers

These instructions apply to computers owned by SIU Carbondale for academic use:
* Teaching and Learning
* Academic Research
Install Mathematica for Linux (Academic Use):

Install Mathematica for Mac (Academic Use):

Install Mathematica for Windows (Academic Use):
Microsoft Software Center

Personal Computers (Linux)

These instructions apply to Linux computers for academic use:
* Teaching and Learning
* Academic Research
Uninstall all previous Wolfram and Mathematica installations, then restart your computer.
Open the Mathematica email invitation from Software Licensing Team.
* Note the activation key you’ll need after installation to activate your license.
* Click Open to download the installer.
If your web browser warns it is unable to preview the file, click Download. Do not click Open!
Install from the downloaded Wolfram_14.2.0_LIN.iso disk image.
* Running the Installer from a DVD or USB.
Upon successful installation, activate your software:
Activate Wolfram Mathematica

Personal Computers (Mac)

These instructions apply to Mac computers for academic use:
* Teaching and Learning
* Academic Research
Uninstall all previous Wolfram and Mathematica installations, then restart your computer.
Open the Mathematica email invitation from Software Licensing Team.
* Note the activation key you’ll need after installation to activate your license.
* Click Open to download the installer.
If your web browser warns it is unable to preview the file, click Download. Do not click Open!
Copy the Wolfram app.
* Open the downloaded Wolfram_14.2.0_MAC.dmg disk image.
* Open the Wolfram drive.
* Copy the Wolfram app to the Applications folder.
Run the WolframScript.pkg installer.
Upon successful installation, activate your software:
Activate Wolfram Mathematica

Personal Computers (Windows)

These instructions apply to Windows computers for academic use:
* Teaching and Learning
* Academic Research
Uninstall all previous Wolfram and Mathematica installations, then restart your computer.
Open the Mathematica email invitation from Software Licensing Team.
* Note the activation key you’ll need after installation to activate your license.
* Click Open to download the installer.
If your web browser warns it is unable to preview the file, click Download. Do not click Open!
Open the downloaded installer and follow the installation prompts.
* Open the downloaded Wolfram_14.2.0_WIN.iso disk image.
* Open the Wolfram drive.
* Open the Windows folder.
* Open the setup.exe installer.
Wolfram Setup:
* Click Next.
Destination Location:
* Click Next.
Select Components:
* Select Install all components (recommended).
* Click Next.
Start Menu Folder:
* Click Next.
Remove Other Applications:
* Check all previous Wolfram and Mathematica installations.
* Click Next
Ready to Install:
* Click Install.
Completing the Wolfram installation:
* Click Finish.
Upon successful installation, activate your software:
Activate Wolfram Mathematica
