SIU Carbondale Computers

These instructions apply to computers owned by SIU Carbondale.
Install EndNote.

Mac:

Windows:
* Install with Software Center

Uninstall all previous EndNote installations, then restart your computer.
Open the EndNote email invitation from Software Licensing Team, then click Open to download the installer.
If your web browser warns it is unable to preview the file, click Download. Do not click Open!
Open the downloaded EndNote_21.0.0_Mac disk image.
Open the EndNote 21 Installer drive.
Open the Install EndNote 21 installer and follow the installation prompts.
EndNote 21 Volume License Version:
* Click Install.
Welcome to EndNote 21:
* Click Next.
Read Me:
* Click Next.
Thank you for using EndNote 21:
* Click Done.
Cite While You Write (CWYW) for Mac:
“Some customers have reported an error message stating that Word can’t load an add-in. The workaround for this is to set Word to open with Rosetta.”

Uninstall all previous EndNote installations, then restart your computer.
Open the EndNote email invitation from Software Licensing Team, then click Open to download the installer.

Open the downloaded EndNote_21.0.0_Windows disk image.
Open the EndNote 21 Installer drive.
Open the EN21Inst.msi installer and follow the installation prompts.
Welcome to EndNote 21:
* Click Next.
Select Installation:
If the Select Installation window appears:
* Click Cancel, then close and re-open the installer correctly.
* Do not open the installer disk image with third-party archive utilities like 7-Zip, WinRAR, and WinZip.
* Do not copy the installer files from the installer drive.
EndNote 21 Volume License Version:
* Click Accept.
Read Me Information:
* Click Next.
License Agreement:
* Select I accept the license agreement.
* Click Next.
Select Installation Type:
* Select Typical.
* Click Next.
Select Destination:
* Click Next.
Ready to Install the Application:
* Click Next.
EndNote 21 has been successfully installed:
* Click Finish.
