Overview

Install Adobe Acrobat for your personal computer.

Note well: SIU Alumni Association, SIU Department of Public Safety, SIU Foundation, and WSIU Public Broadcasting employees have separate instructions.

Install (@siu.edu)

These instructions apply to Mac and Windows personal computers with the following domains:

@siu.edu
Request Adobe Acrobat (Students Only):
Note well: Faculty/staff licenses are assigned automatically. Student licenses are assigned upon request.
SalukiTech Software Request
Uninstall Adobe Acrobat:
* Uninstall all previous Adobe Acrobat, Acrobat Pro, and Acrobat Reader installations, then restart your computer.
Sign in:
* Open https://www.adobe.com/.
* Sign in with your @siu.edu email address and password.
* Do not use social sign-in with Google, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft, LINE, Kakao, etc.

Select an account:
* If prompted, select Company or School Account.
Install Adobe Acrobat:
* Open https://www.adobe.com/apps.
* Click Download (or Install) next to the Acrobat app.
* Open the downloaded installer and follow the installation prompts.
Verify Activation:
* In the Adobe Acrobat app, open the Create a PDF tool.
* If “You do not have access to this feature” appears, then sign out of the Adobe Acrobat app and sign in again.

Install (DAR/DPS/WSIU)

These instructions apply to Mac and Windows personal computers with the following domains:

@alumni.siu.edu
– SIU Alumni Association
@dps.siu.edu
– SIU Department of Public Safety
@foundation.siu.edu
– SIU Foundation
@wsiu.org
– WSIU Public Broadcasting
Uninstall Adobe Acrobat:
* Uninstall all previous Adobe Acrobat, Acrobat Pro, and Acrobat Reader installations, then restart your computer.

Sign in:
* Open https://www.adobe.com/.
* Sign in (or create) an account with your SIU email address and Adobe password.
* Do not use social sign-in with Google, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft, LINE, Kakao, etc.

Select an account:
* If prompted, select Personal Account.

Select a profile to sign in:
* If prompted, select the Southern Illinois University – Carbondale profile.
Install Adobe Acrobat:
* Open https://www.adobe.com/apps.
* Click Download (or Install) next to the Acrobat app.
* Open the downloaded installer and follow the installation prompts.
Verify Activation:
* In the Adobe Acrobat app, open the Create a PDF tool.
* If “You do not have access to this feature” appears, then sign out of the Adobe Acrobat app and sign in again.
