Overview
Use Microsoft Company Portal to install from the software library for SIU Carbondale computers.
| These instructions apply to Windows computers owned by SIU Carbondale. | |
| Install an app: 1. Browse the software library below and click an install link. 2. When Company Portal opens, click the app Install button. 3. Plug in the power cord and prevent the computer from entering sleep/hibernate mode. | |
| If an app installation fails: * Restart the computer, then try again. | |
| If Company Portal is not installed: 1. Copy and paste this link to your web browser: ms-windows-store://pdp/?ProductId=9wzdncrfj3pz 2. In the Microsoft Store app, click the Get or Install button. 3. Upon installation, click the Open button. |

Troubleshoot Company Portal
Check Free Disk Space
- Verify the C: drive has at least 10 GB of free disk space.
- If prompted during installation, free up additional disk space.
Check Windows Version
- Verify the Windows version is supported:
- Windows 11, Version 24H2
- Windows 11, Version 23H2
- Windows 11, Version 22H2
- Windows 10, Version 22H2
Close Blocking Applications
- If prompted during installation, close any open applications that are blocking installation.
Restart Computer
- Restart the computer to clear pending restarts and sign out disconnected users.
- Login and open Company Portal to retry the installation.
